I believe I've been away from deviantArt for something over a year now. It makes me sad in some ways. I've always enjoyed the art groups and deviants that I follow.
I've noticed that anybody's emotes can be used in comments now. I find it interesting that , , and are the most popular ones and used -frequently-.
However, life happens to us all at some point (or points) in time. Life Has happened to me.
Many good things have happened to me in the last year or so:
I have a long term relationship with an extremely wonderful man.
I'm an aunt; the little hellion turns two on the 28th of this month.

People ask me why I don't use FaceBook. This is the reason why: I would rarely post anything.
A good friend also brought up another good reason why I wouldn't like it. A mutual friend's grandmother had died. Said friend posted it on her wall and got several messages of condolence. Someone goes through all of these messages on the wall and only "likes" my good friend's post, even though all of the other posts said roughly the same thing. WTF? I don't get that.
Another thing that really discourages me from using FB is how prospective employers may scrounge it, looking for anything that might not be what they want in an employee. Worse yet, I
